Job Description

This is a full-time, on-site Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Operator/Programmer role based in County Galway, Ireland. The CNC Operator will set up, program, and operate CNC machinery to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Day-to-day tasks include selecting appropriate tools and materials, monitoring machine performance, and adjusting settings to maintain accuracy and efficiency. The role also involves inspecting finished parts, identifying defects or deviations, and collaborating with colleagues to resolve machining issues and optimize production processes. The CNC Operator will follow safety procedures, maintain equipment, and contribute to a clean, organized workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Machine Operation, including setup, programming, and safe running of CNC machinery.
• Proficiency in Machining and Milling processes, with the ability to work from technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience in Quality Control, including measurement, inspection, and documentation of finished components.
• Hands-on experience with workshop Machinery and tools used in precision engineering.
• Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in machining, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and use precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to producing high-quality work.
