Job summary

GUS PRECISION ENGINEERING SERVICES LIMITED in Ireland is seeking an experienced CNC Milling Setter/Operator to join their team in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. You will set up and operate advanced 5-axis CNC milling machines to manufacture high-precision components for the Aerospace sector, ensuring parts meet quality standards and production schedules.

The role reports to the Production Supervisor, with an Evening shift (Mon-Thu 4pm-12:30am) and Fri 3pm-10:30pm.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as CNC Milling Setter/Operator.
• Experience with FANUC Controllers.
• Must have a good level of English language.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Familiarity with precision measurement equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 5-axis CNC milling machines in line with programmed instructions.
• Manufacture precision components to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production work orders.
• Carry out routine preventative machine maintenance (TPM) to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform in-process and final quality inspections using precision measuring equipment, including verniers and micrometres.
• Adjust machine offsets, tooling, and settings to maintain required tolerances and product quality.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment in compliance with company health, safety, and quality standards.
• Accurately record production information and promptly report any issues or deviations to the Production Supervisor.
