Job summary

Right at Home Ireland is hiring Homecare Assistants (full-time and part-time) to support clients in their own homes in the Wicklow area. The role focuses on compassionate, person-centred care aligned with Care Plans and company policy.

Permanent positions with 39 hours per week, flexible hours, and access to training and development. QQI Level 5 Healthcare qualifications or equivalent are required, with prior healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 QQI Level 5 modules: Care Skills (5N2770) and Care of the Elderly (5N2706).
• Previous experience in healthcare or home support is preferred (6–12 months).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality personal care in line with each client’s Home Support Care Plan.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility).
• Support eating and drinking, monitor nutrition, report concerns.
• Provide medication prompting or assistance per policy.
• Maintain client dignity, confidentiality and records.
