Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking compassionate carers to support clients to live independently at home in Ireland, including Galway. You will provide personal care, meal support, and record-keeping, traveling locally to visit clients.

We offer QQI Level 5 training, induction, and clear career progression, with on-call support from local management and a Garda vetting process. Right to work in Ireland is essential.

Qualifications

• EU/EEA citizenship or unrestricted right to work in Ireland required.
• Driving licence is not required but beneficial.
• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support is desirable; if not held, full support to complete it.
• Genuine motivation to support people in the community to live independently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care including mobility, dressing and continence care with dignity and respect.
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Provide medication prompts and maintain accurate, timely records.
• Travel between client visits within your local area and monitor wellbeing.
• Build a professional, trusted relationship with client and family.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy at all times; trust is central.
