Job summary

ProSource Group is seeking an experienced Accountant to own the day-to-day finance function and deliver commercial insight across renewable energy projects. This ACA/ACCA/CIMA or CPA qualified role focuses on hands-on accounting, analysis and scalable controls in a growing sector.

You will manage monthly accounts, project costing, tax compliance and financial reporting while driving process improvements across a dynamic business.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' post‑qualification experience
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA)
• Experience with management accounts and financial reporting
• Experience with Xero, Sage or QuickBooks is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts and annual financial statements
• Manage project costing and profitability analysis
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, invoicing and bank reconciliations
• Manage VAT, payroll tax and corporation tax compliance
• Track government grants, subsidies and renewable energy incentives
• Provide commercial analysis to support decision‑making
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting

Job description

We are working with a growing renewable energy company seeking an experienced Accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function and provide valuable commercial insight to the wider business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA qualified accountant who enjoys a hands-on, commercially focused role and would like to develop their career within the rapidly expanding renewable energy sector.

The Role

You will take responsibility for the company's core finance activities, while also providing financial analysis and insight across a growing portfolio of solar installation projects.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts and annual financial statements
• Managing project costing and profitability analysis, including material, labour and subcontractor costs
• Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, invoicing and bank reconciliations
• Managing VAT, payroll tax and corporation tax compliance
• Tracking and reconciling government grants, subsidies and renewable energy incentives
• Providing commercial analysis and financial insight to support business decision‑making
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting as the business continues to scale

About You

We are looking for a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA) with:

• 3+ years' post‑qualification experience
• Strong experience across management accounts and financial reporting
• Excellent Excel and accounting systems experience – Xero, Sage or QuickBooks would be advantageous
• Strong commercial and analytical skills
• The ability to work independently and take ownership of the finance function
• Experience in construction, engineering, renewable energy or another project‑based environment would be highly desirable
