Job summary

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Hands-on Revenue, ROS and RCT experience.
• Proficient with Xero, AccountsIQ, SharePoint and Excel.
• Experience in process change or a system-led finance environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
• Prepare Revenue returns including VAT, VIES, Intrastat, RCT, RTD and Form 46G
• Bank, creditors ledger and intercompany reconciliations
• Process payments in line with internal controls and cash forecasts
• Support AP/AR month-end close, including cut-offs and reporting inputs
• Identify and drive process improvements, reducing manual work and spreadsheet reliance

On behalf of an independent Irish renewable energy business, we are looking to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional at an early stage of their career, looking to grow with the company. Alongside the core AP responsibilities, our client will develop this person into a broader finance skillset and will support them through ACCA or ATI exams.

This role goes beyond manual processing. You will support day-to-day AP/AR while helping to modernise processes through automation, digital workflows and stronger controls.

The Role:

• Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
• Prepare Revenue returns including VAT, VIES, Intrastat, RCT, RTD and Form 46G
• Bank, creditors ledger and intercompany reconciliations
• Process payments in line with internal controls and cash forecasts

The Candidate:

• 2 - 5 years’ Accounts Payable experience, with solid AP/AR knowledge
• Hands-on experience with Revenue, ROS and RCT
• Working knowledge of Xero, Accounts IQ, SharePoint and Excel
• Experience in process change or a system-led finance environment
• Project, construction or funding-related finance experience is an advantage
