Job summary

Reach Ability is seeking a Community Support Worker/Care Assistant to join our Day Service hubs in Ireland. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, with responsibilities spanning health, personal care and social participation for people with intellectual disabilities.

Key duties include supporting well-being, development activities and community integration, under the guidance of the Unit Team Leader. QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent and a full driving license are required.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent required.
• One year's community support worker / care assistant experience.
• Full clean driving license; eligible to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Support physical and emotional well-being and personal hygiene of service users.
• Assist with cognitive development, communication and activities.
• Participate in monitoring and recording progress; liaise with Unit Team Leader and families.
• Attend regular staff meetings; contribute to planning and PCP/action plans.
• Help with meals, transport, holidays and supervision of students/volunteers as required.

Education

QQI (Fetac) Level 5 in Healthcare Support - Major Award or similar

BA in Applied Social Studies or similar
