Job summary

Lotus Care Services seeks Social Care Assistants to join our Kildare-based team. You will support individuals with intellectual disabilities in residential settings, promoting independence and person-centred care.

Responsibilities include daily living support, medication administration, and collaboration with the MDT to achieve care goals. A QQI Level 5 Healthcare qualification and a full Irish driving licence are required, with HIQA awareness and strong written/verbal communication essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare with 2 of 8 modules completed.
• Full Irish driving license is required.
• Prior experience in social care or healthcare is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Encourage and support choice, decision-making and independence.
• Provide person-centred support with daily living skills, personal care, hygiene and health needs.
• Deliver care in line with individual plans, goals and needs.
• Administer and document prescribed medications according to policy.
• Record and report incidents or concerns to the MDT and management.
