Job summary

The Rehab Group is seeking a Relief Community Support Worker for a fixed term of 6 months in Tralee. The role focuses on delivering individualized community support to people with intellectual, physical and mental health challenges, helping them participate in local activities.

Candidates should hold QQI Level 5 in Social Care or equivalent, have a full clean driving license, and demonstrate experience with diverse needs and local resources.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Social Care or equivalent.
• Full clean driver’s license.
• Experience in supporting individuals with intellectual, physical and mental health challenges.
• Knowledge of local community resources desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, implement, monitor and review appropriate educational, recreational and occupational programs within the community.
• Ensure best practice in line with up to date research regarding Quality of Life improvements.
• Liaise with families, the multidisciplinary team and key community-based personnel in pursuit of accessible community activities for service users.
