Job summary

Sodexo Ireland seeks a Commis Chef for Thomastown, Co. Dublin. This part-time role runs 20 hours per week from 11am to 2pm, at €15 per hour. The position includes opportunities for career development and Sodexo employee benefits.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of chef experience, + Level 6 culinary qualification, and strong food safety awareness. Garda Vetting may be required due to client safeguards.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum experience as a chef.
• Level 6 qualification incl Higher Advanced Certificate & National Craft Certificate.
• Professional cookery or culinary qualifications required.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and allergen awareness.

Responsibilities

• Serve menu items with passion for quality and consistency.
• Maintain highest standards of food hygiene and health and safety.
• Contribute to a positive and healthy meal-time culture.
• Assist with new techniques and ideas in cooking.
• Support site functions and events preparation.

Commiss Chef

• Serve up mouth watering menu items, with a passion for perfection
• Ensure the highest standards of food hygiene and health and safety are maintained
• Contribute to a positive and healthy meal-time culture
• Bring your ideas to the table and cook up new techniques
• To prepare for and assist with site functions and events

What you'll bring

• Proven experience as a Chef in a volume setting
• Professional cookery or culinary qualifications
• Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise tasks
• Commitment to maintaining the highest food safety, hygiene standards and allergen awareness
