Job summary

Hollybank Trustees Ltd invites applications for a passionate Commis Chef to join our team at a luxury Kilkenny venue. The role supports high-quality dish preparation and presentation while upholding the highest standards at all times.

The ideal candidate will have previous kitchen experience and a strong understanding of HACCP procedures; you must be eligible to work in Ireland and be ready to contribute to a busy, casual to full-time kitchen environment.

• Previous kitchen experience required.
• Understanding of HACCP procedures.
• Eligible to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of dishes to the highest standard.
• Ensure all food is prepared, stored, and handled in accordance with HACCP and food safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic work area at all times.
• Assist with stock rotation, stocktaking, and checking deliveries when required.
• Support the Head Chef, Sous Chefs, and wider kitchen team with daily food preparation and service.
• Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards while helping to minimise food waste.
• Assist with food preparation across different sections of the kitchen as required.
• Continue to develop culinary techniques and skills through ongoing training and learning opportunities.

The successful candidate will assist with the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes while ensuring delivery of the highest standards at all times.
