Job summary

Cork International Hotel in Cork, Ireland is recruiting for the role of Commis Chef to join our Kitchen Team. If you love working as part of a tight knit team, and relish the challenge of a buzzing environment then this role is for you.

This is a full-time position. The main duties will include preparing mis-en-place for all relevant menus, cooking and presenting food to hotel standards, ensuring correct portion control, and operating equipment safely.

• Prepare mis-en-place for all relevant menus.
• Prepare, cook and present food to hotel standards, including staff meals.
• Ensure correct portion control as instructed by Head Chef.
• Prepare all dishes as instructed by Head Chef, Sous Chef and/or Junior Sous Chef.
• To operate and clean equipment correctly and safely adhering to cleaning and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe and tidy at all times.
