Job summary

W&P Partners Recruitment is partnering with a growing technology-focused organisation to appoint a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join its expanding in-house Legal team. This is an exciting opportunity for a 3+ PQE solicitor/lawyer with strong commercial contracts and technology experience to take on a broad in-house role with significant responsibility and exposure to senior stakeholders.

You will advise on SaaS, software licensing, IP matters, data protection and emerging regulation

Qualifications

3+ years’ post-qualification experience as a solicitor/lawyer.
Strong experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
Experience in a commercial technology, IT, TMT or SaaS environment.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.

Responsibilities

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts and customer agreements.
Advising on SaaS, software licensing, technology agreements and IP matters.
Supporting product teams on legal and regulatory requirements.
Providing advice on data protection, privacy, information governance and emerging regulation, including AI and digital health.
Partnering with Sales, Product, Operations, HR and Marketing teams on commercial matters.
Supporting corporate compliance and company secretarial activities.
Developing legal templates, guidance materials and processes.
Managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing technology environment.
