This hybrid opportunity is designed for an experienced Commercial Manager aiming to progress to Commercial Director, or an established Commercial Director seeking a strategic, senior leadership role.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience within Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying, or Estimating.
• Experience on Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Cleanroom or controlled environment projects desirable.
• Experience leading and developing commercial teams.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial risk.
• Proven experience managing CVRs, variations and final accounts.
• Excellent commercial reporting, forecasting and financial management skills.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.

• Mentor and develop Commercial Managers and Quantity Surveyors.
• Drive commercial strategy from contract award through to final account.
• Oversee CVRs, forecasting, reporting and commercial performance.

FRS Recruitment are partnering with a leading specialist construction contractor to recruit an experienced Commercial Manager (Construction) for a senior leadership position within their growing business.

This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced Commercial Manager looking to progress into a Commercial Director position, although applications from established Commercial Directors are also welcomed. The successful candidate will play a key strategic role in the future direction of the business while leading the commercial function across a portfolio of technically complex projects.

This is a hybrid opportunity, offering a blend of office, site and remote working while overseeing a portfolio of technically complex projects across Ireland and mainland Europe.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a senior leadership role within the business. The successful candidate will oversee the commercial function across multiple live projects while helping shape commercial strategy, governance and future growth. Managing an experienced commercial team, you will play a key role in protecting profitability, managing contractual risk and driving commercial best practice throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• 10+ years' experience within Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying, or Estimating, ideally with strong construction Fit-Out project experience in Ireland/UK
• Experience within Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Cleanroom or other controlled environment projects highly desirable.
• Previous experience leading and developing commercial teams.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial risk.
• Proven experience managing CVRs, variations and final accounts.
• Excellent commercial reporting, forecasting and financial management skills.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
