Job summary

Real in Limerick is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to own the commercial performance of a busy Business Unit delivering complex engineering and construction projects.

From tender through to final account, you will lead commercial strategy, manage risk, and support delivery with Operations, Engineering, Planning and Finance to drive profitable outcomes and a high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or similar leadership role.
• Experience in engineering/construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration and commercial principles.
• Ability to analyse performance and provide strategic recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of projects from pre-construction to close-out.
• Develop and implement strategies to maximise project profitability.
• Own forecasts, budgets, cash flow, reporting, governance and financial performance.
• Lead tender evaluations, contract negotiations and gap analyses.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities and implement mitigations.
• Manage subcontractor relationships and contractual obligations.
• Monitor performance and ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
• Conduct audits and drive continuous improvements in processes.
• Mentor and develop commercial team members.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Planning and Finance to align delivery.
