Job summary

Darwin Hawkins is seeking a Commercial Director for a newly created leadership role in Dublin. You will drive revenue growth, improve commercial performance, and support delivery of long-term strategic objectives across a large, PE-backed organisation with an international footprint.

Reporting to the Group CFO, you will shape and execute the commercial strategy, work with sales leadership to maximise growth, lead pricing and margin initiatives, and ensure governance of major deals while building

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience in Commercial Director, Head of Commercial, Commercial Finance Director or Strategic Commercial Leadership roles.
• Experience in large corporate, multinational, or private equity backed environment.
• Strong track record of revenue growth and profitability improvements.
• Experience working with sales leadership and influencing commercial strategy.
• Executive leadership and stakeholder management at the highest level.

Role and Reporting Lines

Reporting directly to the Group CFO, this role will work closely with the senior leadership team and commercial leadership across the organisation.

• Commercial Strategy – Develop and execute commercial strategies that support revenue growth, profitability improvement, and long-term business objectives.
• Sales Partnership – Work closely with sales leadership teams to improve commercial performance, drive accountability and maximise growth opportunities.
• Pricing & Margin Management – Lead pricing strategy and margin optimisation initiatives to ensure sustainable and profitable growth.
• Deal Review & Governance – Evaluate significant commercial opportunities, challenging assumptions and ensuring commercial returns are maximised.
• Revenue Growth – Identify opportunities to increase revenue through improved commercial execution, customer development, and strategic initiatives.
• Customer & Market Insights – Analyse market trends, customer behaviour, and competitive dynamics to inform commercial decision-making.
• Value Creation Initiatives – Partner with senior leadership to identify and deliver strategic initiatives that enhance business value and profitability.
• Executive Leadership – Be a key member of the leadership team, influencing strategic decisions and embedding a commercial mindset throughout the organisation.
