Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Commercial Finance Director in Ireland to partner with the Managing Director, shaping strategy and delivering profitability improvements. You will lead financial reporting, budgeting and governance, while steering technology, data and process transformation and building high-performing finance and IT teams.

You will drive commercial insight across pricing, margins, working capital and ROI, with oversight of ERP and digital initiatives in a fast-moving operation.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with senior finance leadership experience.
• Experience in fast-moving operational environments (distribution, FMCG, manufacturing).
• Strong commercial capability across pricing, margins and working capital.
• Ownership of financial reporting, controls, governance, budgeting and planning.
• Experience leading ERP/data/technology-enabled transformation and adoption.
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing finance and technology teams.

Responsibilities

This a broad Commercial Finance Director role partnering directly with the Managing Director to shape strategy, improve profitability, strengthen governance, and drive commercial and operational performance. The successful candidate will also lead technology, data and process transformation while developing high-performing finance, IT and sustainability teams.

Description

• Partner with the Managing Director and leadership team to shape strategy, strengthen decision-making and improve overall business performance.
• Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, controls, statutory compliance, audit and governance.
• Drive profitable growth through commercial insight across pricing, margin, cost-to-serve, working capital and return on investment.
• Oversee the technology roadmap, including ERP systems, data, business intelligence, automation and digital improvement.
• Lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, accountability and operational performance.
• Develop high-performing finance, technology and sustainability teams while building capability and succession across the business.

Profile

• Qualified accountant, ideally ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, with significant senior finance leadership experience.
• Proven experience in a fast-moving, high-volume operational environment, ideally distribution, FMCG, industrial services or manufacturing.
• Strong commercial capability across pricing, margin, cost-to-serve, profitability, cash and working capital improvement.
• Demonstrated ownership of financial reporting, controls, governance, audit, budgeting and strategic planning.
• Experience leading ERP, systems, data, digital or technology-enabled transformation, including business adoption and benefits realisation.
• Credible and resilient people leader who can partner with the Managing Director, influence senior stakeholders, challenge constructively and develop high-performing teams.

Job Offer

• Competitive senior leadership salary circa €140,000 and participation in the Directors' Bonus Scheme.
