As a Command Centre Officer/Controller, you will work within Ireland's most advanced EN 50518 Category I certified Security Command Centre, operating as the central coordination hub for nationwide security operations.

This is a technology-driven operational role requiring the ability to monitor multiple live systems simultaneously, coordinate field resources, manage workforce deployment, and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.

You will support our clients and frontline security teams by combining advanced security technology with real-time operational decision-making, ensuring incidents are responded to efficiently and resources are deployed effectively.

Salary & Benefits
  • €18.65 per hour (inclusive of €2.50 per hour Command Centre Allowance)
  • €20.00 premium for each weekday night shift worked
  • €1.00 per hour premium for all Sunday hours worked
  • Overtime opportunities may be available based on operational requirements
Working Pattern

This is a permanent full-time position within our 24/7 National Security Command Centre.

You'll work a rotating roster designed to support our nationwide operations, including:

  • Weekday night shifts
  • Public holidays (where rostered)

We're looking for individuals who are flexible, dependable, and thrive in a fast-paced operational environment where every shift presents new challenges and opportunities to make a real impact.

As part of our Command Centre team, you'll be at the centre of nationwide security operations—using advanced technology, coordinating frontline resources, and helping to protect people, property, and critical infrastructure across Ireland.

Key Responsibilities
Security Technology & Systems
  • Monitor multiple integrated security platforms including Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, Fire Systems, GPS Vehicle Tracking, Lone Worker Protection and Environmental Monitoring.
  • Operate advanced Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) software and Command Centre technologies.
  • Monitor system health, identify faults, and elevate technical issues where required.
  • Analyse live information from multiple sources to maintain operational awareness across all client sites.
  • Verify alarms using CCTV analytics, remote video verification and audio intervention technologies.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records across all security management systems.
Command Centre Operations
  • Act as the central communications hub for nationwide security operations.
  • Coordinate and direct Mobile Patrol Officers to alarms, incidents, lock-ups, unlocks and emergency call-outs.
  • Allocate operational resources based on incident priority, officer location and client requirements.
  • Monitor the live status and movements of Mobile Patrol Units using GPS tracking systems.
  • Maintain constant communication with field personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Liaise with An Garda Síochána, Fire Services, emergency responders, clients and keyholders during live incidents.
Workforce & Resource Coordination
  • Manage real-time operational staffing requirements throughout each shift.
  • Respond to sickness notifications and unexpected staff shortages by arranging emergency shift cover.
  • Contact available officers to fill vacant shifts and maintain contractual staffing levels.
  • Update electronic rosters and workforce management systems to reflect operational changes.
  • Support Supervisors and Operations Management with resource planning during high-demand periods.
  • Ensure adequate operational coverage across all contracts at all times.
  • Receive, assess and prioritise alarm activations nationwide.
  • Manage incidents from initial activation through to resolution.
  • Dispatch Mobile Patrol Officers using established response protocols.
  • Coordinate emergency responses for intruder alarms, fire alarms, panic alarms, welfare alerts and environmental alarms.
  • Conduct remote investigations using CCTV and integrated security technologies.
  • Escalate critical incidents in accordance with company procedures and client instructions.
Administration & Reporting
  • Produce comprehensive incident reports and electronic occurrence logs.
  • Maintain detailed records of all operational decisions and communications.
  • Complete accurate shift handovers to ensure continuity between teams.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with PSA requirements, EN 50518 standards and GDPR legislation.
What We're Looking For

We're looking for an individual who enjoys working with technology, solving problems and coordinating people in a dynamic operational environment.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
  • Excellent computer literacy and confidence working across multiple software platforms simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking ability.
  • Experience coordinating people or operational resources.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to remain calm during emergency situations.
  • A proactive approach to managing changing operational priorities.
