Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Ennis, Ireland, is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to run and supervise CNC machines, prepare materials, and ensure parts meet specifications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as CNC operator.
• Skilled in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
• Basic computer skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and good math skill.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines and load materials.
• Read blueprints and drawings to determine task requirements.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Supervise machines and adjust for quality.
• Inspect finished products against requirements.
• Maintain daily machine functionality and cleanliness.
• Meet production targets and cycle times.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Report issues to supervisor/QA.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Support supervisor with tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operating CNC Machine
• Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
• Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
• Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
• Achieving competitive cycle times and production targets
• Technical troubleshooting ' machine and process
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Keep supervisor and/or QC informed of any issues
• Maintain a clean, uncluttered work area
• Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations
• Other associated tasks as assigned by the CNC Supervisor
