Job summary

Storm-Recruitment is seeking a CNC Programmer/Machining Operative in Wicklow, Republic of Ireland. The role offers training under supervision in a structured environment, with a salary between €33,000 and €35,000 per year.

You will set up and run CNC Lathe and Milling machines, program from 2D drawings, and perform precision QC checks. Candidate should be able to read drawings or learn, be hardworking, and enjoy teamwork.

Qualifications

• Basic CNC knowledge; full training provided.
• G-code knowledge is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Can-do attitude, good team player, able to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work overtime occasionally, mainly weekends.
• 22 days annual leave and 7 paid sick days per year.
• Unused sick days paid as a bonus in December.

CNC Programmer/Machining Operative

Our client based in North Wicklow is seeking a CNC Programmer/Machining Operative to join a well-established manufacturing company. This role is well suited to candidates looking to start or build a career in CNC machining, with full training provided under professional supervision in a supportive, structured environment.

Responsibilities:

• Setting up and running CNC Lathe and Milling machines


• Writing and running programmes from 2D technical drawings


• Performing quality control checks using ring gauges, plug gauges, micrometers and Vernier callipers


• Operating manual tool grinders


• Meeting production targets and maintaining ISO documentation standards


• Deburring and inspection of finished products


• Supporting the Machining Supervisor and working flexibly across production machines

Requirements:

• Minimum CNC knowledge required - full training provided under professional supervision
