Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is recruiting for a CNC Machine Setter to join an established precision manufacturing company based in Longford, delivering high-spec components for aerospace and other advanced sectors. You will set up and operate CNC lathes, interpret engineering drawings and GD&T, and carry out first-off inspections with careful measurement of critical dimensions.

Maintain equipment, keep a clean, safe workplace, and complete production and quality documentation to ensure batches are ready

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
• Experience using measuring and inspection equipment to ensure part quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes to manufacture components accurately in line with drawings and work orders.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and specifications to ensure parts meet required standards.
• Carry out first-off inspections and regularly measure critical dimensions, recording quality checks as required.
• Complete production, quality and work-order documentation, ensuring batches are prepared for the next operation and traceable.

About Your New Job

• Set up and operate CNC lathes to manufacture components accurately in line with technical drawings and work orders.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and specifications to ensure parts meet required standards.
• Carry out first-off inspections and regularly measure critical dimensions, recording quality checks as required.
• Complete production, quality and work-order documentation, ensuring completed batches are correctly prepared for the next operation.
• Maintain CNC equipment and a clean, safe working environment while following all health & safety procedures and PPE requirements.

What Skills You Need

• Previous experience setting up and operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong attention to detail with experience using measuring and inspection equipment.
