Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our multidisciplinary engineering team with offices across Ireland. You will support geotechnical design packages and assist with ground investigations and foundation design for major developments.

You will work on infrastructure, commercial, residential, and industrial projects, liaising with engineers, contractors, and clients. Hybrid working and CPD opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• 4+ years post-graduate geotechnical design experience within an engineering consultancy
• Experience in geotechnical design to Eurocode 7
• Experience carrying out ground investigations and geotechnical reporting
• Strong communication and technical report writing skills

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the delivery of geotechnical design packages on infrastructure and development projects
• Carrying out geotechnical assessments including foundations, retaining structures, and earthworks
• Assisting in the planning and procurement of ground investigation contracts
• Preparing technical reports, design calculations, and specifications
• Liaising with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients
• Supporting the delivery of projects in accordance with Eurocode 7 and relevant Irish / UK standards
• Assisting with site inspections and interpretation of ground investigation data

Job description

Geotechnical Engineer with 4+ years’ experience required to join a highly respected multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with offices across Ireland. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of infrastructure, commercial, residential, and industrial projects while working alongside an experienced geotechnical and civil engineering team.

The successful Geotechnical Engineer will be responsible for supporting the delivery of geotechnical design packages and assisting with ground investigation and foundation design for major engineering developments.

• Assisting with the delivery of geotechnical design packages on infrastructure and development projects
• Carrying out geotechnical assessments including foundations, retaining structures, and earthworks
• Assisting in the planning and procurement of ground investigation contracts
• Preparing technical reports, design calculations, and specifications
• Liaising with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients
