Cloud Security Engineer: DevSecOps & SIEM

Job summary

Everseen, a leader in vision AI for retailers, seeks a Security Engineer to join the Security team. You will work across cloud, network, and on‑prem stacks, owning hardening and detection improvements in a collaborative environment.

You will partner with Infrastructure and Security teams to implement SAST/DAST, IaC security, and SIEM enhancements, while automating security tasks with Bash and Ansible and guiding DevSecOps practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a Security Engineer, DevSecOps, or equivalent hands-on role.
• Solid Linux fundamentals; CLI-based administration.
• Cloud infrastructure experience; Azure or GCP preferred.
• Networking basics including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN concepts.
• Automation and IAC with Bash, Ansible, Terraform.
• Experience with security tooling (Tenable, Wazuh, Qualys).
• Container security with Docker/Kubernetes and image scanning.
• SDLC security: SAST/DAST in GitLab CI/CD.
• Microsoft Sentinel administration or SIEM experience preferred.
• Azure certifications (AZ-500) useful; RHEL patching is a plus.
• Familiarity with security frameworks (ISO27001/NIST/CIS).
• Ownership mindset; proactive problem solving.
• Clear business-English communication.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain security standards for workloads (AKS, GKE) including RBAC and network policies.
• Maintain security posture across Azure (Entra ID, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel).
• Container image scanning and runtime security monitoring.
• Support Artifactory operations including artifact security and access control.
• Apply CIS benchmark hardening across environments; patch Linux systems timely.
• Vulnerability management lifecycle: triage, prioritize, remediate.
• Maintain Microsoft Sentinel log ingestion, analytics rules, and detection coverage.
• Investigate alerts, triage incidents, and support SOC activities.
• Build and maintain correlation rules, workbooks, and SOAR playbooks.
• Implement SAST/DAST/secret detection in GitLab CI/CD; shift-left security.
• Automate security tasks with Bash and Ansible.
• Contribute to IaC security reviews (Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes manifests).
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, DevOps, and development teams.
