• 5+ years hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing Microsoft Azure environments.

• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
• Understanding of cloud networking, security, monitoring, and automation.

Our client is looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure. This is a day rate contract based in Cork.

• Daily rate contract
• Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, configure, and support Azure cloud environments to meet business and operational requirements.
• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure components, including Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Networking, and App Services.
• Automate deployment and operational tasks using scripting languages and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Monitor cloud resources, optimise performance, and implement security best practices across Azure services.
• Design and manage container-based solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Create and enhance CI/CD pipelines to streamline application and infrastructure deployments.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to deliver reliable cloud-based solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues while ensuring high availability and resilience.

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of hands-on professional experience designing, deploying, and managing Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Virtual Networks, and App Services.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI.
• Practical experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
• Good understanding of cloud networking, security, monitoring, and automation concepts.
• Experience implementing scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions in enterprise environments.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
