Our client is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect with strong Azure, GCP and multi-cloud expertise to join a specialist team working on cloud interoperability, switching and the EU Data Act.
This is an opportunity to apply hands-on cloud expertise to complex technical investigations and help assess how cloud service providers meet emerging regulatory requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Provide cloud architecture expertise across technical investigations, complaints and disputes.
- Investigate compliance with cloud interoperability and switching requirements under the Data
- Guide technical reviews, testing and analysis of multi-cloud environments.
- Assess cloud switching, workload and data migration, connectivity and data egress.
- Provide expert technical input on cloud standards, interoperability and technical evidence.
- Engage with industry, government bodies and other regulators.
MUST-HAVES
- Third-level qualification in Cloud Services, Cloud Engineering or another directly relevant discipline.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in cloud architecture.
- Strong working knowledge of Azure, including AKS, Azure Virtual WAN, Cosmos DB and Entra ID.
- Working knowledge of GCP, including GKE, BigQuery, Cloud Storage and Anthos.
- Experience with multi-cloud environments, including cross-cloud connectivity and workload and data migration between cloud providers.
- Familiarity with open-source cloud deployment and management, such as OpenStack, and open cloud standards including CDMI and OpenAuth.
- Familiarity with APIs and data encapsulation, including JSON and GraphQL.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience drafting documents for internal and external audiences.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with Terraform or OpenTofu, CI/CD and hybrid networking.
- Strong knowledge of storage, databases and cross-cloud data replication.
- Experience with AI workloads or heterogeneous compute environments.
- Experience within a regulated industry or regulatory environment.
- Relevant Azure, GCP or Terraform certifications.
