Job summary

PFH Technology Group is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Architect to lead the design, governance, security, and modernisation of Azure cloud and hybrid environments. You will shape enterprise cloud architecture, drive strategy, and oversee governance and operational excellence across cloud initiatives.

The role requires 10+ years in cloud/enterprise architecture with extensive Azure experience, plus leadership in large-scale transformations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in cloud and enterprise architecture.

• Enterprise-scale Azure Landing Zone design and implementation.
• Strong knowledge of Azure governance frameworks and best practices.
• Experience designing secure cloud platforms and operating models.
• Cloud migration and transformation programme leadership.

• Architecture governance, standards and review board participation.
• Technical leadership within large-scale enterprise environments.
• Experience working within regulated or compliance-driven industries.

Job description

PFH Technology is seeking an experienced Senior Azure Cloud Architect to provide strategic and technical leadership for the design, governance, security, modernisation and operation of Microsoft Azure cloud and hybrid environments. The successful candidate will support cloud strategy, architecture governance, Azure modernisation, security and operational excellence initiatives.

The Role

You will be responsible for shaping and governing enterprise cloud architecture, providing technical leadership across cloud transformation initiatives, and ensuring cloud platforms align with business, security and operational requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Defining enterprise Azure architecture and cloud strategy


• Designing and governing Azure Landing Zones and cloud platforms


• Developing cloud adoption roadmaps and reference architectures


• Leading architecture reviews and technical governance activities


• Driving cloud security, identity and access management strategies


• Supporting hybrid cloud and on-premises integration initiatives


• Providing architectural guidance on AI and Generative AI solutions


• Leading cloud migration and modernisation programmes


• Promoting Infrastructure as Code and DevSecOps best practices


• Engaging with senior stakeholders and technology teams

Required Experience

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

• 10+ years' experience in cloud and enterprise architecture


• Extensive Azure architecture and governance experience


• Enterprise-scale Azure Landing Zone design and implementation


• Strong knowledge of Azure governance frameworks and best practices


• Experience designing secure cloud platforms and operating models


• Cloud migration and transformation programme leadership


• Hybrid cloud architecture and connectivity expertise

Technical Skills

Strong experience across several of the following:

• Conditional Access


• Microsoft Sentinel


• ExpressRoute


• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or Bicep)


• CI/CD


• DevSecOps


• Azure OpenAI or Generative AI architecture experience


• AI governance and Responsible AI experience


• Financial Services, Government, Utilities, Healthcare or other regulated-sector experience


• Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF or similar)


• Cybersecurity architecture experience

Certifications

One or more of the following would be highly desirable:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert


• Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100)


• CISSP


• TOGAF


• Terraform Associate
