Job summary

PFH Technology Group is seeking a Cloud Operations Transformation Lead for a 1-year contract. The role is remote with occasional visits to Cork, Meath and Dublin.

You will design and deliver a cloud operations transformation programme for a large public sector customer, maturing IT and cloud operations to be secure, well-governed and cost-optimised across Azure and AWS, working with PFH delivery teams and customer personnel.

Qualifications

• Management experience in IT operations, cloud operations or service management.
• Experience leading transformation initiatives in enterprise or public sector environments.
• Strong understanding of IT operations management, risk control frameworks, governance, and service management.
• Experience designing operating processes for cloud or hybrid IT environments (Azure and/or AWS).
• Ability to translate best-practice frameworks into pragmatic policies, standards, procedures and day-to-day operating processes.
• Solid project management capability including planning, dependencies, reporting and governance.
• Strong customer-facing consulting skills with senior stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Excellent written communication and client-facing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of a cloud operations transformation programme for a large public sector customer.
• Assess current-state IT and cloud operations practices and define a target operating model aligned with ITIL and cloud adoption frameworks.
• Design operational processes across domains such as backup, patching, monitoring, incident/change management, and FinOps.
• Produce high-quality customer-facing documentation including policies, standards and governance artefacts.
• Manage senior customer stakeholders and chair weekly programme status meetings, tracking actions to completion.
• Lead a small blended delivery team of PFH and customer personnel.
• Support post-programme governance and continuous improvement practices.
