TTM Healthcare Solutions is recruiting a Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist in Neurology for a leading HSE hospital in West Dublin. You will provide expert assessment, diagnosis and management of adults with communication and swallowing disorders within the neurology service.

The role requires CORU registration, 5 years post-qualification experience, and post-graduate certification in adult dysphagia, with competency in videofluoroscopy/FEES and opportunities for professional

Qualifications

• CORU registration is a must.
• 5 years post‑qualification experience in SLT.
• 3 years in progressive and acute adult neurology.
• Post‑graduate certification in adult eating, drinking and swallowing disorders.
• Full post‑graduate competence in videofluoroscopy/FEES.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert assessment, diagnosis and management of adults with communication and swallowing disorders in neurology.
• Collaborate with neurology and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate service delivery.
• Lead evidence-based practice, promote patient safety, and contribute to service development, education, and quality improvement.

TTM Healthcare Solutions are delighted to be recruiting for a Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist in Neurology for a leading HSE hospital based in West Dublin. This is a Full Time Permanent HSE contract. International applicants are welcome to apply but must have extensive experience in the area of neurology.

The Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) will possess and develop highly specialist knowledge in the area of neurology. They will provide expert assessment, diagnosis and management of adults with communication and swallowing disorders under the care of the inpatient and outpatient Neurology service. Collaboration with SLT colleagues, and multidisciplinary colleagues of the neurology team, will support the coordination, development and delivery of the service to meet the needs of the service user group and the objectives of the Hospital.

The role leads evidence-based practice, supports multidisciplinary decision-making, promotes patient safety, facilitates rehabilitation, and contributes to service development, education, innovation, quality improvement, research and clinical governance.

Key Requirements

• CORU registration
• 5 years post qualification experience
• 3 years experience in progressive and acute adult neurology - to include working in an adult acute or rehabilitation hospital setting
• Post-graduate certification and full competence in the management of adult eating, drinking and swallowing disorders (mandatory)
• Full post graduate competence and proven experience in adult videofluoroscopy and/or as a FEES endoscopist (mandatory)
• Demonstrate recent evidence of formal continuing professional development relevant to adult neurology in the form of post-graduate qualifications or relevant courses.
