Job summary

TTM Healthcare Solutions are recruiting for a Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist in Neurology for a leading HSE hospital based in West Dublin. This is a full-time permanent HSE contract.

International applicants are welcome to apply but must have extensive experience in the area of neurology. The Clinical Specialist SLT will provide expert assessment, diagnosis and management of adults with communication and swallowing disorders within inpatient and outpatient Neurology services,

Qualifications

• CORU registration is required.
• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience in progressive and acute adult neurology, including inpatient/outpatient settings.
• Post-graduate certification and full competence in management of adult eating, drinking and swallowing disorders (mandatory).
• Full post-graduate competence in videofluoroscopy/FEES endoscopy (mandatory).
• Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to adult neurology.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert assessment, diagnosis and management of adults with communication and swallowing disorders under neurology service.
• Collaborate with SLT colleagues and multidisciplinary team to plan and deliver services.
• Lead evidence-based practice, support multidisciplinary decision-making, and promote patient safety.
• Facilitate rehabilitation and contribute to service development, education, innovation, quality improvement, research and governance.

Education

CORU registration

5 years post-qualification experience

3 years neurology experience

Post-graduate certification in swallowing disorders

FEES endoscopy competence
