Orthos Medical in Ireland is seeking a Medical Device Specialist with a focus on paediatric orthopaedics and trauma to join the field-based team. You will support surgeons and theatre staff across Ireland, ensuring the right products and instrumentation are available and providing clinical guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical devices, orthopaedics or paediatric healthcare is advantageous.
• Theatre/operating room experience is advantageous.
• Nursing or clinical background is beneficial.
• Willingness to travel across Ireland and work field-based across hospitals.

Responsabilités

• Provide clinical and technical support to surgeons and theatre teams during procedures.
• Support paediatric orthopaedic and trauma cases.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with surgeons, nurses and hospital staff.
• Ensure the correct products and instrumentation are available for surgical cases.
• Develop a strong knowledge of Orthos Medical's orthopaedic product portfolio.
• Provide product guidance and training to healthcare professionals as required.
• Identify opportunities to develop existing hospital accounts and relationships.
• Attend hospitals and theatres across the assigned territory.
• Work closely with the wider Orthos Medical team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Keep up to date with developments in paediatric orthopaedics, trauma and medical technology.
• Represent Orthos Medical professionally within the hospital environment.

The Role

Orthos Medical is looking for a Medical Device Specialist with an interest in paediatric orthopaedics and trauma to join their growing team.

This is a hands‑on, field-based position supporting surgeons and theatre teams across Ireland. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with healthcare professionals and provide product and clinical support before, during and after surgical procedures.

This would suit someone with experience in medical devices, orthopaedics, paediatric healthcare, nursing or theatre environments who is looking to develop their career within a specialist medical device business.

Key Responsibilities

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about healthcare and improving patient outcomes.
• Comfortable working in a paediatric hospital/theatre environment.
• Confident communicating with surgeons, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
• Calm, professional and able to work effectively under pressure.
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple cases and priorities.
• Relationship-focused with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Commercially aware and motivated to develop customer relationships.
• Comfortable working independently and travelling throughout Ireland.

Experience

Experience in one or more of the following would be highly advantageous:

• Medical device sales or clinical support.
• Orthopaedic or trauma environments.
• Paediatric healthcare.
• Theatre/operating room experience.
• Nursing or another relevant clinical background.
• Working directly with surgeons or hospital teams.

Candidates who have strong clinical experience but limited commercial experience will also be considered, provided they have the right attitude and an interest in developing within medical devices.
