Avista is a person-centred, rights-based organisation delivering Day, Residential and Respite supports across Dublin, Limerick and North Tipperary. We invite applications for a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Positive Behaviour Support to join our multidisciplinary PBS/ID team in the Limerick region.

The role provides specialist nursing input to a defined caseload of individuals with complex needs, working with an ANP and other CNS in PBS.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Intellectual Disability Division of the Register of Nurses held by NMBI.
• Maintained annual registration with the NMBI.
• Minimum five years' post-registration experience, with two in PBS and Intellectual Disability.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and caseload management skills.
• Knowledge of The Health Act 2007 and HIQA regulations.
• Full clean Irish driving licence.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
• Knowledge of Shaping the future of intellectual Disability Nursing (2018) and Sláinte Care (2018).

Responsibilities

• Join PBS and Intellectual Disability specialist multidisciplinary team and provide specialist nursing input to a defined caseload with complex needs.
• Work alongside an ANP in the specialist area and with other CNS in PBS within the Limerick/Roscrea service area.
• Demonstrate knowledge of regulations and maintain professional standards.
