Job summary

Nua Healthcare Services in Naas, County Kildare, Ireland, is seeking a Behavioural Specialist to lead Functional Assessments and develop Multi-Element Behaviour Support Plans (MEBSP). You will promote Positive Behaviour Support across the organisation and ensure high-quality, compliant Personal Plans.

The role requires a Psychology degree with an MSC in ABA and a minimum of three years in a similar health/social care setting; BCBA is preferred but not essential. Full driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Live our Mission, Vision and Values.
• Manage an individual caseload.
• Travel to different locations as required.
• Complete Functional Assessments as required.
• Develop Multielement Behaviour Support Plans (MEBSPs) in collaboration with relevant others.
• Oversee the implementation and monitoring of each MEBSP.
• Provide training to front-line staff.
• Ensure MEBSPs are high quality and compliant with regulatory standards.
• Quality check Personal Plans and implement improvement plans.
• Ongoing professional development and supervision.
• Work as part of a nationwide Multi-Disciplinary Team.
• Contribute to service development under Positive Behaviour Support.

Job Objectives

The role of the Behavioural Specialist is to undertake Functional Assessments and develop Multi Element Behaviour Support Plans (MEBSP) to support individuals with their behaviour, teach new skills and improve overall quality of life. The role is also to promote Positive Behaviour Support across the organization through the quality checking and improvement planning of Personal Plans.

This Will Include The Following On a Day-to-day Basis

• Live our Mission, Vision and Values.
• Manage an individual caseload.
• Travel to different locations as required.
• Complete Functional Assessments as required.
• Develop Multi-Element Behaviour Support Plans (MEBSPs) in collaboration with relevant others
• Oversee the implementation and monitoring of each MEBSP
• Assist and collaborate with relevant others to integrate recommendations to individual Personal Plans.
• Provide training to front-line staff
• Ensure that all MEBSPs are of the highest quality and are compliant with all regulatory standards.
• To quality check Personal Plans for each individual as per policy and provide structured quality improvement plans in relation to these.
• To ensure an ongoing focus on continued education in relation to professional accreditation and professional development.
• Engage in individual and peer and group clinical supervision.
• Work collaboratively as part of a nationwide Multi-Disciplinary Team
• Contribute to service development under a Positive Behaviour Support framework.

Skills Requirement

Qualification

• Psychology degree or Equivalent.
• MSC in ABA (Essential).
• BCBA preferred but not essential.

• Knowledge of standards and legislation relevant to the area.
