Job summary

LauraLynn, Ireland's Children's Hospice is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist (IPC) to lead infection prevention and control practices across our services. The role provides expert clinical leadership, education, audit, surveillance and quality improvement to support safe, high-quality care for children and families.

The successful candidate will have registered nursing or midwifery status with NMBI, an NFQ Level 8 IPC qualification, and substantial experience in IPC and nursing

• Registered Nurse/Midwife with active NMBI registration.
• NFQ Level 8 qualification in Infection Prevention & Control or related.
• Minimum 5 years post-registration nursing experience.
• Minimum 1 year's IPC experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, audit and education skills.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.

Introduction:

LauraLynn Children's Hospice is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist (IPC) to lead infection prevention and control practices across our services.

Essential Criteria - ideally the successful candidate will possess the following:

• Registered Nurse/Midwife with active NMBI registration.
• NFQ Level 8 qualification (or higher) in Infection Prevention & Control or a related specialist area.
• Minimum 5 years post-registration nursing experience.
• Minimum 1 year's experience in Infection Prevention & Control.
