Job summary

Eligible candidates must be registered with NMBI, possess post-registration dementia/gerontology experience, and demonstrate leadership and communication skills. Night shifts with premiums apply, and ongoing education is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Eligible to register or currently registered with the NMBI.
• Two to three years minimum post-registration experience.
• Post-registration training in dementia care and/or gerontology is desirable.
• Leadership, communication, organizational, and clinical expertise.
• Eligible to work in Ireland.
• Ongoing education and training programmes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high standard of care for residents and families in the unit.
• Develop relationships with residents to support autonomy and informed choice.
• Promote resident safety, privacy, dignity and rights.
• Involve residents in decision-making where possible.
• Ensure the nursing home operates with respect to diverse backgrounds.
• Plan, assess and deliver care that maximises resident autonomy with the MDT.
