Job summary

RecruitNet International Ltd, a healthcare recruitment specialist, is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager for a leading Nursing Home in Co Dublin. You will oversee clinical governance, ensure high quality patient care, and lead a multidisciplinary team to meet regulatory standards.

The role requires NMBI registration, nursing experience, and leadership qualifications, with a focus on evidence-based practice and staff development in a residential setting.

Qualifications

• Maintain current annual registration in the NMBI.
• Minimum 5 years post-registration nursing experience.
• At least 2 years leading or managing a team.
• Evidence of continuous professional development.
• Hold a Management qualification.
• Hold a Train the Trainer qualification.
• Be a certified ACLS Instructor.
• Strong clinical and evidence-based knowledge.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and EPR systems.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a consistently high standard of patient-centred care.
• Respect and recognise each patient as an individual, prioritising rights, dignity and safety.
• Foster therapeutic relationships that support autonomy and informed choice.
• Advocate for patients, providing reassurance and considering their views.
• Identify and escalate concerns about patient safety and quality of care.
• In the absence of the Assistant Director of Nursing, act as Person-in-Charge per HIQA.
• Support governance and day-to-day management of the service.
• Lead staff development, ensure compliance with policies and employment law.
• Promote a restraint-free environment and manage challenging behaviours.
• Lead quality and safety initiatives, audits, infection control, and documentation.
