AIB in Dublin seeks an experienced Level 3 Senior Associate, Origination – Europe, Climate & Infrastructure Capital to join our growing team. You will write credit papers, perform financial modelling, and manage relationships with customers while supporting risk management.

You will contribute to strategic lending for circular economy and sustainable projects, participate in cross-border origination, and help build our international platform as we pursue ambitious climate action targets.

Qualifications

• Relevant 3rd level qualification with 3+ years' experience in Project Finance or Specialised Lending.
• A professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CFA) or progress towards one would be an advantage.
• Strong financial analysis and credit skills, with proficiency in financial modelling.

Responsibilities

• Write credit papers for new business for the Credit Authority and for annual reviews.
• Perform financial modelling and sensitivity analysis.
• Develop relationships with new and existing customers with a customer focus.
• Support risk management and contribute to credit risk model development.
• Assist with credit reviews and internal audits for the Climate & Infrastructure Capital portfolio.
• Communicate risks and mitigants and contribute to deal selection strategy.
• Support strategic lending to circular economy and sustainable businesses.

This is a unique opportunity for experienced individuals to join this high performing, ambitious team, as we build out our international platform and directly contribute to global climate action goals.

As a member of the Europe Team, you will be required to support best in class origination, risk management and deal execution across Climate & Infrastructure Capitals growing portfolio.

Key Accountabilities

• Write credit papers for new business for consideration by the relevant Credit Authority as well as for annual reviews and transaction amendments
• Perform financial modelling analysis and run detailed sensitivity analysis
• Enhance relationships with new and existing customers with good communication and customer focus
• Form an integral part of the risk management culture in AIB and adherence to codes of conduct, laws and regulation
• Contribute in determination of risk and deal selection strategy
• Contribute to ongoing Credit Risk model development
• Support credit reviews and internal audit engagements for the Climate & Infrastructure Capital portfolio
• Communicate the impact and key risks and mitigants associated with same
• Make a difference through strategic lending to circular economy and sustainable businesses

What you Will Bring ;

• Relevant 3rd level qualification with 3+ years' experience within a similar area (preferably Project Finance or Specialised Lending) which could include Banking, Advisory or Industry. A professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CFA), or progress towards one, would be an advantage
• Strong Financial Analysis, Strong credit skills and Proficiency in financial modelling
• A proven awareness of sustainable lending and an analytical and results focussed mindset
• Team player with strong communication and influencing skills
• Knowledge and experience of the development and business application of credit risk modules utilised for the calculation of regulatory capital or ECL would be beneficial
