Job summary

Davy in Ireland seeks a Corporate Finance professional at Manager level focusing on Capital Markets and M&A to support transactions and business development.

Ideal candidate has 4–5 years in Investment Banking with strong financial modelling and valuation skills, and familiarity with stock market activities and regulatory considerations. Hybrid work model and ongoing learning opportunities are offered.

Responsibilities

• Support the client director in public market transactions including IPOs, follow-ons, buybacks and takeovers.
• Conduct detailed company and sector research to identify opportunities and potential investors.
• Perform valuation and financial analysis including relative and intrinsic valuation.
• Prepare presentations and materials for Boards, investors and management presentations.
• Develop knowledge of stock exchange rules and regulatory environment for listed companies.
• Build and maintain financial models including operating models and funding overlays.
• Coordinate diligence workstreams with deal team, clients, advisers and service providers.
• Collaborate with other departments across the Davy platform.

About the role

An exciting opportunity has opened up in our Corporate Finance department at Manager level for individuals focused on Capital Markets and M&A. Suitable Corporate Finance and or M&A professionals for these roles should have gained at least 4 to 5 years' relevant experience of successful deal execution in Ireland or abroad. This is a rewarding role in a highly regarded team that offers considerable scope for further development.

In the role, the successful candidate will:

• Support the client director in our public market client base in execution of transactions including IPOs, follow on offerings, share buybacks and takeovers
• Undertake detailed research on individual companies and broader industry sectors, potential transactions, acquisition searches and potential investors/buyers to support overall business development efforts and similar initiatives for both existing and new clients
• Conduct valuation and financial analysis work covering comparative valuation (public and precedent transaction), intrinsic valuation and financial investor returns based valuation taking account of, where appropriate, accretion, dilution impact and impact of synergies and refinancing
• Prepare presentations and other materials including Board Presentations, Investor Presentations, Pitch Documents, Information Memoranda and Management Presentations
• Develop knowledge of Stock Exchange Rules and the general listed company regulatory environment
• Prepare financial models including integrated operating financial models, funding models (including the appropriate equity/debt funding overlays, returns and covenants) and returns based models suitable for the appraisal of investment opportunities or financial sponsor led transactions
• Execute transactions to include managing all typical diligence workstreams to support efficient and timely transaction delivery including active management of input from wider Davy deal team, clients, other advisers, and diligence services providers
• Work collaboratively with other departments across the extensive Davy platform

Requirements

We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:

• Minimum 4-5 years experience in Investment Banking
• Capital Markets experience desirable and or good knowledge of stock market related activities or experience in a more broad transaction advisory role
• APA/QFA/Registered Stockbroker or other recognised qualification
• Strong IT and analytics skills
• Excellent communication, financial modelling and report writing skills
