Job summary

Interactive Brokers Group, Inc. is seeking a German Financial Translator (English to German and vice versa) to support its global brokerage platform.

You will translate website content, client communications, FAQs, and guides, while maintaining glossaries and MT/TA tools. Strong German, English skills, and finance translation experience are required; the role demands independence and strong time management.

Qualifications

• Native German speaker with excellent written German skills.
• Proficient in English with strong written and oral communication.
• MA or BA degree in Translation or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience with a financial institution or finance translation.
• Knowledge of basic trading terms and familiarity with finance/marketing translation.

Responsibilities

• Translate website content, client communications, and user guides from English to German and vice versa.
• Translate emails, bulletins and announcements for clients and colleagues.
• Translate FAQs and user guides for IBKR products and services.
• Maintain glossary and translation memory databases.
• Perform quality assurance on existing translations (proofread and edit).
• Handle document processing as part of workflow.

Responsibilities:

• Translate a variety of content, such as website, account application, trading apps (IBKRDesktop, ClientPortal, IBKRMobile), etc.
• Translate client communication emails, bulletins, and announcements
• Translate FAQs and User guides
• Glossary and TM maintenance
• Perform quality assurance on existing translations (proofread and edit)
• Document processing

Qualifications:

• Native German speaker
• Proficient in English
• MA or BA degree in Translation or related discipline
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• CAT tool daily operation experience is a requirement (configuration and advanced use is a plus)
• Experience with the use of AI technology in an auxiliary function for translation is a strong advantage
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience with a financial institution, or translating finance-related content
• Knowledge of basic trading terms; familiarity with technical and marketing translation
• Proven time-management and organisational skills
• Personality: Self-confident, open, flexible, and able to work independently in a team-oriented environment
