Job summary

Global Professional Consultants in North Dublin is seeking an experienced Clerk of Works to provide independent site inspection and quality assurance on major projects.

You will monitor workmanship, report defects, attend site meetings and maintain detailed inspection records. The role requires a strong construction background and excellent report writing.

This permanent full-time position offers a competitive salary, pension and benefits within the Irish market.

Qualifications

• Trade or technical background required with strong knowledge of construction methods and standards.
• Significant experience as Clerk of Works, ideally on large-scale projects.
• Membership of the Institute of Clerks of Works (or similar) an advantage.
• Strong report writing, communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular site inspections to monitor workmanship and materials against drawings, specifications and regulations.
• Report on progress, defects and non-compliance, and track remedial works through to close-out.
• Attend site meetings and provide clear, accurate reporting to the client and project team.
• Maintain detailed inspection records, photographic evidence and site diaries.
• Monitor compliance with Building Regulations, Health and Safety requirements and project quality standards.
• Support snagging, handover and defects inspections at completion.

Clerk of Works

Clerk of Works required for a leading construction consultancy to provide independent site inspection and quality assurance on projects in North Dublin. Our client is specifically looking for an experienced Clerk of Works to monitor workmanship and compliance on behalf of their clients. The successful Clerk of Works will report to the Project Director.

Role
