Cleaning Operative, Dublin
Location: Dublin
Contract: Part Time, 2 year Fixed Term
The purpose of this role is to provide and maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for staff and tenants across the service, including communal areas, offices, and onsite housing. This includes preparing and cleaning houses for move-in in partnership with service support staff.
What you will do:
Work in line with the overall aims and objectives of Focus Ireland.
Follow all Focus Ireland policies and procedures, including the Health and Safety Policy.
Work to the daily routine set by line management or appointed systems, including a flexible five-day rota covering morning and afternoon shifts.
Complete monthly stock checks, maintain stock records, and request cleaning materials from the appointed person in a timely manner, in consultation with the line manager.
Maintain cyclical cleaning records and record information required for the NQSF cleaning programme.
Work collaboratively with other Focus Ireland facilities staff and cooperate with contractors as agreed with the line manager.
Attend regular supervision and training as agreed with the line manager.
Clean offices, grounds, and housing across various sites, and prepare houses as required.
Report any hazards or risks to senior staff immediately.
Report maintenance issues to the assigned staff member.
Work as part of a team and cooperate with colleagues.
Attend team, divisional, and organisational meetings as required.
Be flexible, within reason and with prior notice, regarding work location and hours.
Comply with Focus Ireland’s Working Alone and Confidentiality policies.
Undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities assigned by the manager.
What you will need:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently, stay self-motivated, and contribute effectively as part of a team.
Previous experience in a dedicated cleaning role.
Understanding of the client group supported by Focus Ireland.
Reasonable IT skills.
Full driving license. (Desirable)

Chemical handling certificate. (Desirable)
