Job summary

Apleona UK is seeking a Cleaning Operative for our site in Galway City. Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Fixed-Term illness cover.

Main duties include vacuuming carpets and mopping floors, cleaning toilets, disposing of rubbish, and using cleaning materials safely in line with COSHH guidelines. We value a good work record, previous cleaning experience, basic health and safety knowledge, and the ability to work independently with prioritised tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience with cleaning equipment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum carpets and mop/buff floors.
• Clean toilets and polish glass/brass surfaces.
• Collect and dispose of rubbish.
• Use cleaning materials and equipment safely (per COSHH guidelines).
• Display safety signage during cleaning operations.
• Report defects and safety issues promptly.
• Maintain security awareness and report suspicious activities.
• Undertake job-related training as needed.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Work effectively as part of a team and provide excellent customer service.
