Job summary

PRS Household Services is seeking a part-time cleaner for in-person work in Portlaoise, Co. Laois. The role involves cleaning floors, offices, kitchens, toilets, and other areas, with duties including vacuuming, mopping, waste disposal, and stock replenishment where needed.

You will follow a roster and uphold health and safety standards, reporting any issues to management. Hours are 7.5 per week with a flexible morning start negotiated at interview.

Responsibilities & duties:

• Cleaning floors, communal areas and tidying up workspaces, undertake general cleaning of the facility, including offices, floors, corridors, stairwells, elevators, kitchens and toilets.
• Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, emptying bins and other tasks as required
• You may come into regular contact with customers so you must be able to assist them if needed
• You must complete all relevant Health & Safety records and attend training courses when needed
• Touch point cleaning & sanitising
• Ensuring the toilet facilities are kept clean and supplies are replenished when required.
• Inform management of stock required for replenishing purposes.
• Report and store lost and found items.
• Promoting a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
• Exercise care, reliability and attention to the cleaning needs
• Work to an agreed roster which defines areas for cleaning, the type of cleaning and the regularity with which the cleaning is to be carried out, in conjunction with your line manager.
• Maintain a high standard of hand washing and a high standard of personal hygiene.
• Operate a satisfactory waste disposal system.
• Take action when aware of unhygienic practices, which may put the safety at risk.
• To carry out a risk assessment annually within your areas of work in collaboration with others.
• To use tools and machinery with care and report any defect
• Present oneself in a clean and professional manner at all times
• Participate in company events such as performance reviews, surveys, and training
• Any other duties as the company sees necessary
• To fully comply with Covid-19 regulations
• Full compliance and participation with ISO standards

7.5 hours per week

Flexible morning start time to be negotiated with hiring manager upon interview stage
