Job summary

Aramark in Waterford, Ireland, is seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our corporate facilities. You will work with a supportive facilities team to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in offices, communal spaces, and other areas.

Key responsibilities include cleaning and sanitising designated areas, stocking supplies, reporting hazards, and adhering to COSHH and health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential; induction and training will be provided.
• Strong attention to detail with a genuine commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ability to work independently whilst managing workload effectively and efficiently.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work with a flexible attitude towards changing priorities.
• Good people skills and communication abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Sound understanding of health and safety practices in the workplace and COSHH requirements.
• Physical fitness and capability to perform manual cleaning tasks consistently.
• Willingness to undertake training and develop your skill base in cleaning methodologies and equipment operation.

• Organised approach to following procedures, meeting deadlines, and adapting to different cleaning environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning and sanitisation of all designated areas, including offices, communal spaces, and facilities, to the highest standards - Stock and replenish cleaning materials and supplies in a timely and efficient manner - Maintain and store cleaning equipment correctly, ensuring all tools are in good working order and ready for use
• Identify, report, and escalate any maintenance issues, hazards, or damage to management promptly - Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, COSHH requirements, and company procedures - Work independently and manage your workload effectively to meet quality standards and deadlines
• Communicate proactively with team members and management to ensure seamless operations and address any concerns - Demonstrate a customer-focused approach by ensuring all spaces reflect our commitment to excellence and professionalism - Follow established cleaning protocols and procedures, adapting to different environments and requirements - Undertake additional duties as required to support the wider facilities team and organisational goals
