Job summary

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of cleaning products, their applications, and safe handling procedures.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly COSHH compliance.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual cleaning tasks consistently.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative when required.
• Strong people skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service orientation.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Problem-solving ability and adaptability to different cleaning environments.
• First Aid certification (desirable).
• Willingness to undertake induction training and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise all designated areas including offices, communal spaces, restrooms, and corridors to the highest standards.
• Empty waste bins and dispose of refuse appropriately, ensuring waste segregation where required.
• Operate and maintain a range of cleaning equipment and machinery safely and effectively.
• Restock cleaning supplies and report shortages to management promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules and report any maintenance issues or hazards immediately.
• Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including COSHH compliance, and wear personal protective equipment as required.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests and address spillages or accidents with urgency.
• Work flexibly to accommodate varying shift patterns and organisational requirements.
• Contribute to a positive workplace environment through professional conduct, teamwork, and excellent customer service.
• Undertake induction training and engage in ongoing professional development opportunities.
