Job summary

Sanofi Waterford is seeking a Clean Utilities & Sustainability Intern to support utility monitoring, data analysis, and sustainability projects in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setting.

You will work with facilities and engineering teams to improve energy and water use, prepare technical docs, and help maintain SOPs and compliance while gaining hands-on experience onsite in Waterford.

Qualifications

• Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A basic understanding of engineering, chemistry, or environmental science with an interest in sustainability.
• Ability to read and interpret technical data and process documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation, and multitasking in a structured environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Clear written and spoken English communication; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the monitoring and analysis of clean utility systems including water, steam, and compressed gases.
• Help collect and interpret energy and water data to support sustainability goals.
• Assist with preparing technical docs, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Participate in improvement projects to reduce environmental impact of utilities.
• Contribute to updating SOPs and technical specifications.
• Support audit/inspection readiness through documentation
• Attend meetings and cross-functional workshops, documenting actions and follow-ups.
