Job summary

ESB’s Generation Engineering Delivery arm in Ireland seeks a Civil and Structural Specialist Lead to deliver civil and structural engineering solutions from feasibility to handover. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, manage risk and drive design excellence on major energy projects.

The role may include line management of engineers and involves travel to project locations. Based in Dublin or Cork with smart working and hybrid arrangements.

Qualifications

• Level 8 Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Chartered status with a recognised professional engineering institution.
• Strong technical capability across civil and structural engineering services.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil and structural engineering services through full project lifecycle.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary site investigations and surveys.
• Review contractor designs and submissions as SME.
• Provide mentoring and support to junior engineers.
• Lead tender enquiries, evaluation and contract management for large civil contracts.
• Coordinate interfaces with ESB and external stakeholders.
• Ensure outputs meet technical, safety, programme and customer requirements.
• Promote safety culture across all activities.
