Job summary

The Electricity Supply Board (ESB) invites applications for a Civil and Structural Specialist Lead based in Dublin, with hybrid working and occasional travel to project sites. You will lead civil/structural engineering across the project lifecycle, mentor engineers, and manage large contracts while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Role requires a Level 8 Engineering Degree (or equivalent), Chartered status, and at least 7 years of post-qualification experience, with strong communication

Qualifications

• Level 8 Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 7 years post qualification experience.
• Chartered status with a recognised professional engineering institution.
• Strong communication and report writing skills with stakeholders.
• Experience with FIDIC Conditions of Contract including EPC, D&B and Multi Direct contracting.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil and structural engineering services through full lifecycle from feasibility to handover.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary site investigations and related assessments.
• Act as SME and reviewer of contractor/submission designs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Lead tender enquiries, evaluation, and contract management of large civil contracts.
• Manage interfaces within ESB and external stakeholders to deliver projects on scope, budget and programme.
• Promote safety culture across all activities.
