Job summary

Glanua is seeking a Civil Project Manager to lead on-site delivery of water and wastewater projects from Midleton base. You will steer civil and building works, manage subcontractors, and ensure HSE compliance and on-time, on-budget completion.

You will collaborate with engineers and client representatives, implement Lean practices, monitor programme performance, and drive successful project outcomes through proactive leadership and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in civil engineering projects.
• Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Engage with customers, suppliers and subcontractors in negotiations.
• Proficient with MS Project and baseline programme updates.
• Full Driving License.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HSE & Sustainability standards on-site at all times.
• Collaborate with clients, client reps and third-party agencies.
• Lead the construction team across civil and building works.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical and process engineers.
• Coordinate PSDP/PSCS roles; maintain on-site documentation.
• Conduct safety inspections and toolbox talks.
• Apply Lean Construction and Last Planner methods.
• Monitor programme, risk, budget; report monthly to framework manager.
• Lead procurement and manage cashflow/legalities of payments.
• Support recruitment and CPD within the team.
