Job summary

John Paul Construction is seeking a Civil Engineer for a Dublin-based role. You will manage and coordinate all engineering functions to meet project objectives while ensuring high standards of health and safety on site.

We require a civil engineering degree with 5-7 years in a similar role, plus setting-out experience and proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM tools. Collaborate with the project team to drive quality and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Relevant third-level degree in civil engineering.
• At least 5-7 years experience in a similar role.
• Experience with main contractor infrastructure projects preferred (roads, motorways).
• Setting out experience is essential.
• IT skills including Microsoft Office and BIM software such as AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, coordinate and deliver all engineering functions to meet project objectives.
• Control and flow of technical information on the project.
• Work with the project team to drive Health & Safety standards on site.
• Integrate and challenge design proposals to achieve optimal solutions.
• Monitor and drive setting-out quality on the project.
• Mentor the engineering team to develop technical skills.
