Job summary

DBFL Consulting Engineers Ltd. in Cork is seeking experienced Civil Engineers to join our Civils and Infrastructure teams. You will work on feasibility studies, detailed designs, and construction of large national infrastructure projects across public and private sectors.

Mentoring by leadership and rapid career progression are offered, with hybrid working and a strong emphasis on professional development and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid numerical and problem-solving abilities.
• Fundamentals of civil engineering incl. drainage, roads, watermains and earthworks.
• Familiarity with national/local standards and guidance.
• Experience in design and specification of civil materials.
• Ability to prepare cost-effective design solutions using latest design suites.
• Multi-disciplinary coordination and presenting design solutions.
• Site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality.
• Mentor junior staff in technical skills.
• Good planning and organisational skills.
• Experience with contract documents for Public Works Contracts.

Responsibilities

• Provide feasibility studies through to detailed designs and construction completion for large infrastructure projects.
• Report to Team Leader and coordinate with leadership.
• Mentor junior staff and share technical knowledge.
• Attend site visits to monitor progress and address contractor queries.
• Prepare innovative, cost-effective design solutions for clients.
